Islam: Islam: Stop Killing people-please!

Muslims claim to be peace-loving individuals, yet Muslims who have lectured me regarding religion proclaimed Muslim superiority over the nonbelieiver, and used the term "Infidel" habitually. Islam to millions of Muslims is a religion which is moving backwards, seeking to purify itself from any modernizing, liberal tendencies. We have just entered the 21st century but millions of Muslims, who still practice tribal warfare of the most hideous kind, subjugate others of different beliefs. We see numerous Muslim factions around the world violently persist in the dominance of Islam instead of coexisting with others. How many armies of Muslims have been observed today seeking a diplomatic solution, or combat and quell their own violence? An easier question to answer should be: How many millions of Muslims want to kill Infidels in the name of Allah?
Here are some quotes from some of the many Islamic papers. It also shows NO latitude in the way true Muslims think.
~Muslims worldwide are regularly subjected to campaigns initiated by the enemies of Islam and out fear to put a halt to the Islamic revival; a revival which heralds the re-establishment of the Islamic system and the removal of the un-Islamic governments, as well as western domination over Muslim countries. Muslims living in the west, particularly those who are active in calling for Allah and upholding the Deen, have become targets of the oppressive tactics of these campaigns.~
What campaigns? The campaign to send health and aid workers to heal and feed starving Muslim families? The only campaigns I now hear are Muslims killing people of different beliefs, even different sects of their own belief. Here is more:
~Muslims everywhere are outraged by the publication of the book The Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie. Freedom of expression stops where vilifications and misrepresentation of facts start. No civilized society can condone the publication of explosively misleading material disguised as "literature." Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him), whose example one billion people aspire towards, is depicted as a lecherous "conjurer" of rules who had "no time for scruples." No respectful and decent person can be expected to allow such vitriol and utter falsity to pass without protest. Libel and slander are criminal offenses in this country. The Satanic Verses is dangerously, even criminally, misleading for a Western audience that knows little about Islam and Muslims.
Rushdie's metaphors and symbols are strongly reminiscent of and reinforce traditional Western prejudices and myths about Islam. The Satanic Verses is one of the most slanted works in a regular cycle of intentional or unintentional misrepresentations of Islam and Muslims in media sources and textbooks. Because of its wild implications and virulent language, the novel constitutes an unprecedented assault on Islam, and, indirectly, on the Abrahamic religions preceding it.
Those who have rallied around Rushdie say that they protest a threat to "one of the most basic principles of Western" society. They should consider the fact that Muslims strive toward the example of the Prophet Muhammed (p.b.u.h.) more than that of any other human; in defaming him, Rushdie, with the aid of his publishers, has attacked the very character of one billion Muslims. Thus, given that Rushdie's novel and his publisher's rash impropriety have struck viciously "at the most basic principles" of Islamic belief, the reaction of the vast majority of Muslims till last month can only be described as remarkably mild. Rushdie had been callously indifferent to peaceful pleas to rectify the situation earlier. His arrogant, vascillating and ambiguous statements are many. Initially he proclaimed that he should have been more "critical" of Islam; then he called his novel "fictional"; later he released a half-hearted three-sentence "apology" that totally ignored the numerous deaths that have occurred over this novel; and now he compares himself with "literary crusaders." What sort of man insults the dead -- those who cannot defend themselves? What sort of man deliberately distorts history just to further his own interests? What sort of publisher recklessly disregards its moral and social responsibility to see that slanderous, hateful and misleading works are not propagated? Many books have refuted Islam but rarely in its 1400-year history has any book fallen under the deliberately distorting and hateful category of The Satanic Verses. We pray that this entire matter is resolved swiftly and justly. ~
This was written by the head of an American Muslim group.
I do not need to explain the above as it speaks for itself. I will say that there is NO freedom of expression of non-Muslim views unless you want to be killed by a blood thirsty mob.
It is unfortunate that thousands of Japanese Americans were subjugated after Pearl Harbor. After all, how many Japanese American kamikazes crashed commercial aircraft full of helpless people into buildings full of innocent men, women and children? None. We have Muslims here and abroad burning American flags, killing aid workers and reveling in the recent atrocities. American flag sales are at a phenomenal high, and so are "Allah is great" bumper stickers.
This is not a local dispute like in Ireland. This is not an isolated crusade over religious beliefs. This is the beginning of ethnic cleansing by armies of Muslims world wide who have the taste of fresh "un-Islamic" blood in their mouths. If Muslims truly want to be superior:
They should stop killing people over a plot of holy dirt in Saudi Arabia.
They should stop killing people in the name of their God.
They should stop killing people with different views.
They should stop killing people.

Every religion claims only the people of their own religion will go to heaven, thereby making everyone else an "infidel". That is actually an inflammatory choice for translating the original word which is probably "kaffir" which actually means "one who rejects the truth", i.e. a non-Muslim and is usually translated as "non-Muslim" not infidel.

In my religion, only The Divine Creator decides who goes to the Promised Land and who doesn't. It is my job to please and honor Him and leave the judging to The Most High. Furthermore, Jesus Christ forgives all who ask. How does one know who asks for forgiveness in their final moments. I know my religion is different but I felt my faith and The Higher Power urging me to spread a message of tolerance and forgiveness, where one seeks a personal relationship with their creator and leaves the judging to God or Allah. Does this have any basis in your Holy teachings?

Dear Christian,
Offcourse our religion also teaches us tolerance and that, the matter of forgiving or punishing any individual lies in the hands of the Creator.Noone can tell that a certain person is sinful or sinless.Noone has the right to.Allah knows best.

Many misconceptions on Islam are being spread about.Islam is a religion of self control, self assessment, doing and propogating good deeds, stopping oneself and others from doing evil.Infact, one month in the Islamic Calendar itself called the "Ramadan" is set aside for the Muslims to fast in it and practice self control. This includes control of anger, back biting, abusing, thinking, seeing, hearing or doing evil, apart from control on eating, drinking, etc.It encourages us to increase meditation, give charity, feed the hungry, etc.I am not an Islamic scholar myself and may not be able to define Islam as the way it aught to be, but being a Muslim it is my duty to do my best. The rest lies in your hands.Accepting it or rejecting it is your choice.

Jihad doesn't entail the murder of innocent people. The most important Jihad, according to our holy book, the Quran is actually the struggle against our own inner selves..whatever desires we may have as human beings to do wrong. THAT, my friends is the ultimate Jihad. In fact the word "Jihad" itself means "Struggle" it doesn't mean hijacking airplanes and taking the lives of so many innocents..Recently the word Jihad has been given violent, military, and even terrorist connotations..That's not what Jihad is. I, as a Muslim don't see how ANYONE could call what happened on Sept. 11th an act of Jihad. The pple who carried it out were so delusional, misinformed, and ignorant about the true views of Islam. Islam itself means PEACE..yes that's right PEACE.
Furthermore a true Muslim will never place himself above a Christian, a Jew..or a person from any faith for that matter. God knows best..He will be the one to decide who enters heaven and who enters hell. Whoever used the term "infidel" referring to Non-Muslims may not have had a clear understanding of the word..either that or they may not have had an understanding of Islam. We respect people of all faiths..Anyone who says otherwise is not speaking for the majority.
