Salaam,

I have a question about a certain Subject..

Astrology...
I am VERY confused if its a sin or not... since some people say its not good, other say that there is some indications about this in Al Quran... it goes by 12 Buruzes in Quran...

And there are some books about it too, Islamic books, Like Sulemani Khabnama in English its, the interpretation of the dreams.. It also has the Falnama...about almost every prophets.... and it also has the 12 astrology signs and the planets...

Well Ill have to finish it here.. I will come back later with more informations.. Meanwhile, if you have any Comments or informations, Please Post it..

Bismillah.

To understand this topic you will need to learn about Tawheed and Shirk. An easy to read book is 'The Fundamentals of Tawheed - by Bilal Philips' written in English.

In short:

Allah says in the Quran (7:188):
Say (O Muhammad): 'I possess no power of benefit or hurt to myself except as Allah wills. If I had the knowledge of the unseen I should have secured for myself an abundance of wealth and no evil should have touched me. I am but a warner and a bringer of glad tidings to people who believe'.

The Messenger of Allah (SAW) did not have knowledge of the unseen. How then can anyone else claim to have knowledge of the unseen, by merely studying the stars? If this was possible it would have been done by the Prophet(SAW) and also by his companions and those who followed them. This is not the case however. Only Allah has knowledge of the unseen.

To believe that anyone other than Allah has knowledge of the unseen has commited shirk. Shirk is the greatest of sins which Allah will not forgive unless one repents from it (see 4:48).

Alhamdulillah.

Dear Alhamdulillah,
I have a question. Islam believes in Abraham, in Jesus and other prophets. Does Islam also teach that Muhammad is the last on only prophet there will ever be?
Ati

The very best book on dream interpretation has been published by Gayle Delaney. If applied you will be surprised at the results.

Muslims do not dealve into astrology or dream interpretation, as we know that no human being can foretell the future.

Dear Ati,
(Bismillah-hir-rahman-nir-raheem.)
Yes Islam teaches that the Prophet Muhammed (May peace and blessings be upon him)was the last Prophet to come in the long line of Prophets. And it should also be understood, that a person cannot be a true Muslim unless he believes in Abrahim, Moses and Jesus as Prophets of Allah and gives them due respect.
