AsSalaamu Alaykum
No one can vouch for a man's true character better than his wife, so why isn't there a matrimonial service out there based on this premise?
Possible benefits:
1. first wife participates in assisting her husband in this lawful quest
2. first wife finds someone for her husband that they are both compatible with
3. husband avoids needless contact with unsuitable females
4. husband is less likely to have to contend with petty jealousy if wives have already learned to communicate
5. perspective wife avoids needless contact with unsuitable males
6. perspective wife receives first hand character assessment of husband
7. future expectations of all concerned,for a successful relationship, can be sorted out before actual commitment

On behalf of all those first wives and single sisters who would practice polygyny if only....

Why do women want to burden themselves
with this...I don't get it!
Is this a need to control something?

Can you not accept the men handleling
this sunnah? You are attempting to take
the role away from the men, the gaurdians,
and replace yourself to be the woman's
protector. Do you feel you can do a
better job than legislation? SUBHANA'ALLAH
Some women use this to face and cover a
fear yet implicate it to be iman.
My question is WHY?

See by my experience: I once worked myself
up to find a second wife for a husband
of mines(ex) and got myself really
worked up for the job. Met a nice, beautiful
charming sister-khimar down, family oriented,
close with her family,very charming and
dude was like naw. Right then I stepped
back and told myself 'self' leave it alone.
And this sister had no children, could have
given dude children, etc.
So to me polygamy is a man thing to where
hey we as the wife just be patient
and trust in ALLAH all of the time and
stop being insecure so now you just have
to be a part of the process.
I told my husband that never let me
be the reason for him not to do something
good. And were he to seek another wife
to go for the best which is a virgin, there.
My job ended there with my husband in
regards to polygamy.
