Salaam sisters,
I am full niqabi since a few weeks. I started
to avoid contact with non-mahram men and
do not leave home without mahram. I am no
longer answering the phone. Shopping is done by our
maid. Since I am a convert it is all
very new for me. I am
looking for sisters who are undergoing similar
experiences.
Jazak allah khair,
Dinah

Salaam dinah
Mashallah on your decision to wear Niqaab. The judgement you receive from other people like me telling you that niqaab is good is nothing compared to the reward from Allah, Inshallah. But did you know that YOU CAN GO SHOPPING and STILL BE MUSLIM? Who told you that you shouldn't leave the home? You are lucky that you can afford a maid because many very active and strong niqaabis cannot afford such a commodity. How do you think our Beloved Prophet's sws wife Khadija alahisalaam, the first convert to Islam, did her business and shopping? Who is brainwashing you to think that you shouldn't leave your home or answer the phone if you want to be a good Muslim? Inshallah, Allah facilitates ease for Muslims so that they don't have to under go hardship in life. Don't make life hard on yourself. May Allah guide you.
wa salaam

As'alamu Alaikum Wa'rahmatuallah E'barrekado Sisters,
I wore Full Niqab' untill recently, My Husband commanded that I not wear it any longer because of peoples stares when we are in Public.
What are my Rights concerning this issue, I know obeying your Husband is also obeying Allah(swt) But also that if your Husbands are commanding something on you that you feel goes against Allah(swt)then do I not have a right to disobey him on this and still wear my Niqab?
