Salaam Alaikom!
I was looking for a discussion about jihad but found it was under the "men only"-section. Sisters, I think jihad is a question for ALL muslims, men and women alike. Anyone willing to talk?
Salaam sister khadija

Assalamualaikum
Allah is just; jihad is definitely for all. I thought jihad against the nafs is the hardest, but now I'm in a jihad to invite my siblings to be practising Muslims; to pray not just to fast. This is the hardest since I'm doing it alone without the support of my parents. I really don't know how to tackle this issue.

Salaam alaikum,
Here are some hadiths on jihad for women.
Bukhari
Volume 2, Book 26, Number 595:
Narrated 'Aisha:
(the mother of the faithful believers) I said, "O Allah's Apostle! We consider Jihad as the best deed." The Prophet said, "The best Jihad (for women) is Hajj Mabrur. "
Volume 3, Book 29, Number 84:
Narrated Aisha (mother of the faithful believers): I said, "O Allah's Apostle! Shouldn't we participate in Holy battles and Jihad along with you?" He replied, The best and the most superior Jihad (for women) is Hajj which is accepted by Allah." 'Aisha added: Ever since I heard that from Allah's Apostle I have determined not to miss Hajj.
Volume 4, Book 52, Number 43:
Narrated 'Aisha:
(That she said), "O Allah's Apostle! We consider Jihad as the best deed. Should we not fight in Allah's Cause?" He said, "The best Jihad (for women) is Hajj-Mabrur (i.e. Hajj which is done according to the Prophet's tradition and is accepted by Allah)."
WaSalaam

Ironic...since it was a woman who saved the Prophet's life in war. Also most of the medics were women when Islam first started.

Assalamu'alaykum Warrahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu.
I am aware that the Hadith say that women are not to participate in the Jihad in the form of fighting in the battlefield. Is there any sisters out there whose husband has been to Jihad . Can these sisters share with me the experience of how they felt when their husband went for Jihad and to prepare ourselves for the time when our husbands leave for Jihad and is there anyway we can help and participate in the Jihad like in Chechenya presently.
I look forward to reading any replies.
As-Salamu 'alaykum.
Umm-Shahidaa.
