As salaamu alaikum
Insha'Allah, this is a reminder to us that we can't let our families influence the daily decisions we make as we embrace Islam, every part of it.
The Noble Quran 60:3-
Neither your relatives nor your children will benefit you on the Day of Resurrection (against Allh). He will judge between you. And Allh is the All-Seer of what you do.

I have recently converted to muslim and have received many oppositions. I now wish to marry a muslim man but his mother is totally against the union as i am a recent convert and i am not her choice but her sons. I wish to ease her fears and too become a good practicing muslim but I am finding it difficult to learn everything involved although i am slowly trying. Please could you give me advice on how too ease my future mother in laws fear and hopefully stop a rift forming.
