One thing I am sick of seeing is the automatic dislike between many arabs against paki's and vice versa. What is up with that?

This is something which I cant seem to understand either, I mean arn't we supposed to be equal under the eyes of Allah (SWT)as muslims regardless of wheather our country is suffering from poverty, or wheather our country has all the money in the world?

ASSALAMU ALAIKM! I AGREE WITH BOTH OF YOU. I AM AN ARAB AND I SEE SOME PREJUDICE AGAINST PAKI'S AND I THINK IT NEEDS TO END. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? THIS IS HARAM. WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE GOOD MUSLIM BROTHERS AND SISTERS AND ARE SUPPOSED TO LOVE EACH OTHER.

I am a new american muslim. I have been disliked by arabs and pakistani muslimahs and other who where born muslims and it hurt my heart to get this kind of treatment. My understanding is that it is not about the money you have, how long you been mulsim or of you were born into islam, or what color you are. My understanding is that it is about how you fear Allah and apply islam to you daily life and seek the knowledge. But some of us muslims have ignorance in ourselves(and allah knows best) so all we can do is make dua'a for each other. Inshallah.

i am a pakistani girl, and i myself have no prejudice against any other muslim(or even nonmuslims). the only reason i see you have a problem is the general hatred of pakis(i don't know if the same reason applies to the otehr muslims) towards the americans. though you may be a muslim, but you are an american too. ofcourse, we are absolutely worng about our aattitude towards you, and it's really shameful for us. but pakis really hate the americans for the political reasons, and they also hate american(or most other non-muslim women) for their living style. i often hear women saying things about their attire and their sexual behaviours. so, you may have become a muslim, and just left all that, but the thinking of pakis take some time to change, which of course isn't a good thing though. they still see you as the same old non-muslim girl they really used to hate. so i guess now you'd know that why you have to put up with all this.

Id just say that sometimes we tend to think that ppl dont like us, if u go somewhere and dont meet good reception we tend to just back off...instead we should ourselves make an effort.
Two ppl standing in each corner looking at eachother curiously wouldnt get to know each other unless they walk towards eachother..and so what if the other one is not..why Dont u then go?

I went to london, being used to always saying salam to all the muslimahs i met i was shocked that the muslimahs here didnt really look at eachother much...and saying salam to eachother way something u just didnt do!

i asked my cousin why all this? she said well she didnt know....and i asked her IF SHE EVER TOOK THE INITIATIVE...she said ..she didnt..so i told her..lets see what happens when we smile and make and effort to say salam....and SubhanAllah a lot of arab ladies said walekum salam and i could see they said it from heart:)

Most of my muslim friends i have now is because we recognized that we are muslims, and it started all with.,... salam and how are u sister?

probably this issue is not similar to ARABS NOT LIKING PAKISTANIS..and vs ....,

but in some way ..if we dont know we have to get to know, how do i know how arabs are if i dont know them..seeing them and far away i would probably think NAAH they dont wanna know me ..but maybe they think the same..

We tend to think bad abt things we dont know...or even ppl we dont know abt.....

On muslims ghaterings i have meet a lot of gals and in the beginning we are all a bit shy..but once someone start talking we are all chatting along:) All we need to know is...are u muslim and at once u feel this bond:) regardless of whether u are american, british, swedish, pakistani, indian, arab or chinese!

Muslims want tolerance/acceptance but you don't show the slightest shred of evidence that you are willing to return it!

I truly don't understand how Pakistani muslims (or any other intolerant muslims for that matter)can move to the United States, take advantage of our educational institutions, accept our funding, and still feel righteous about hating America and its citizens. I truly cannot believe this kind of hatred can be borne from anything other than unmitigated ignorance!

I get the feeling from the above discussion that there is a great deal of intolerance and hatred directed towards certain other groups of people. I thought Islam was a tolerant religion, a religion of love! So far, I see very little love and tolerance but a very ugly spirit of hate.
You should leave America if you hate it so much. Leave please....we will be a better society with out you leaching off of us!

Whoah...as a muslim Ummah we are really weak. Islam is supposed to be a religion of love. It is! What is America except for a piece of land in the West? What is any country except for a piece of land! The Day of Judgement is approaching and the lesser signs have already come. Look, Islam and Muslims are two different things. Islam is the true religion and nothing is wrong with it. But Muslims are only the followers and the amount that they follow is 'up to them'. Depends on if they want to burn in hell or not. You can never get a perfect Muslim, cos they've been dead for fourteen centuries. Please don't judge Islam from the Muslims. Judge it from ISLAM. It's pathetic. I got someone saying to me "What! You're Muslim?! I thought u were Bengali?" Is everyone else as confused as me?
