I often go to the site http://www.truthbearer.org - It is a Christian site though I know some Muslim are on the egroup list there. The site is trying to spread the message to the churches that polygyny is in the Bible. I hope you can support that move, because once it will help to eventually have America accept polygyny and allow it by law. Then anyone, with multiple wives or not, can immigrate. And anyone in the US can take be polygynous, given there wives consent to it.

I mean no harm here

Excuse me didn't Muhammad say that one wife was enough and that you couldn't treat them all the same? Now if your wife couldnt get pregnant than yes it should be permitted to have another one after you try and do all means to try.

I cant believe all the stuff I am reading here it upsets me deeply and sisters you deserve love from one man only if he is out looking for another wife ask him why? If you gave him children and have taken good care of him he should be happy.

I think that its discusting and demeaning to women to have to share their husband.
No I don't think it will ever be legal in the USA - Women are equal not subserviant or beneath their husbands.
When are you women going to stand up for yourselves? And say no more of this outdated opression?

I don't think it will ever be legal in the US..and thats a good thing..even most Mormans who used to do it don't practice it anymore..

there is a Morman who has a lot of wives..he's on his way to jail as we speak..his wives crying for him..they didn't mind..but the law does..and so do the rest of us..

The Bible does not condone more than one spouse a piece for either gender..before Moses was given the law on MT. Siani (sp) it was customly accepted for a man to have more than one wife..but after that it was forbidden..yes King David, King Soloman and others had more than one wife..thus breaking the Law..but that dosn't mean God approved..in the New Testement..it is also not allowed..Paul tells his readers each is to have his own wive..not wives..

A man who needs more than one woman at a time is very selfish, self serving and only cares about his sexual appitites..what woman would want a man who dosn't think she fulfills his needs well enough anyhow?..

As far as a wife not being able to have children?..well in our society we take what we get..we are supposed to marry for love..not to have children, or get sex, or to get money, or to please our parents, friends or relitives..and if the one we choose has problems..well..that's part of marrage..we deal with them together..couples that can't have children for one reason or another try to have them through artificial/medical means..there are many medical ways to try..and if none of them work..the couple adopts..but bringing another wife into the picture while still married to the first one?..no..if the man can't handle it..then he gets his divorce first..then finds another wife..

We have found this method to be less hurtful than sharing our husbands w/other women..and competing for his attention/love..

The above sentiment by anonymous is held by many American Women..we do wonder why the Islamic Women don't rise up and demand thier rights..no one should be subjected to this kind of oppression..haven't any of you ever even thought of telling those over sexed males no?..This is not the only right women have that the Islamic Women don't enjoy..there are so many others..but you don't have to feel guilty because you can't have children..ever occur to anyone it may be him that can't produce them?..He has a right to have children?..well what about your right to have children?..if he is the one that can't produce them then where doe that leave you?..you can only have one husband but he can keep getting married until he finds a woman that can have them?..don't your feelings count at all?..is this fair?..no..it isn't....so if he decides your not being able to have children is taking his right to have them away and he tells you he wants another wife to give him some..you ought to say..fine go find one..and my lawyer will call you!!!!..
